Office of Government Relations

Legislative Steering Committee

The primary responsibility of the Legislative Steering Committee is to draft and present the Legislative Agenda. The Legislative Agenda is a document created every year which guides the lobbying efforts of the Office of Government Relations. The Legislative Agenda serves every student on campus by distilling student perspectives and issues down into an actionable agenda for local, state, and federal governments, the surrounding community, and UW administration.

The ASUW Legislative Agenda is created by the Legislative Steering Committee (LSC). In an effort to be as representative and equitable as possible, the LSC is comprised of students and communities from all over campus, and hosts public meetings every Tuesday at 9:00AM PST in HUB 303.
