Huskies on the Hill
Huskies on the Hill is the annual lobby day organized by the OGR in which UW students are bussed to Olympia to meet with legislators and advocate for issues that impact our community!
This year, the ASUW Seattle, Bothell, and Tacoma, alongside the Graduate and Professional Student Senate (GPSS) are inviting students to lobby in Olympia! The Annual Huskies on the Hill Lobby Day raises awareness on higher education issues like financial aid funding, student healthcare and mental health, reproductive freedom, and many more by connecting students with state legislators. This is an amazing opportunity to have your voice heard and address important issues and topics that you care about. Legislators want to hear student voices, so make sure YOUR voice is heard!
No prior experience is needed to participate in Huskies on the Hill; ASUW and GPSS are providing training, on February 2nd at 7pm or February 3rd at 3pm, to give students the lobbying tools they need to succeed in advocacy for this event and in their careers. Don’t miss out on the chance to represent yourself and other students at UW on issues that impact you!
